Helping vets access the great outdoors with guided hunting, fishing, with the Fallen Outdoors Alaska.
What is the Fallen Outdoors Alaska? A little over a year ago I had the privilege of helping a military vet named Ryan Libby and his family sell their home. Little did I know what that would lead to as far as Kevin and I getting involved in one of the most amazing organizations we have ever seen. First let me explain. What is the Fallen Outdoors? In a nutshell, they help facilitate guided hunting, and fishing trips with local guides and outdoorsman, a large number who volunteer their time and personal resources for military vets who otherwise would not have this incredible opportunity. Fast forward a year. Ryan Libby contacted me and asked in my business Alaska Living and Real Estate would be interested in sponsoring a corporate table for the Fallen Outdoors banquet on February 29th 2020. Kevin and I could not have said yes fast enough. We love our military and our vets. We saw this as a great opportunity to give back to so many who have given so much or everything in sacrifice for this great country that we are so honored to live in. Fast forward to the night of the banquet. The placed was PACKED! It was held at the Lions Club in Eagle River Alaska. What a night. It was awesome to see so many people show up in body, and with their wallets to support this organization.

There were tons of silent auction items up for bid. A lot of very high quality guns and other items that were donated for this event. It was a blast! So much fun. Great food, fun, and camaraderie in this entire event. The live auction was fantastic too! I got to bid on an item that had a key to hopefully unlock a padlock to a gun. I didn’t win the key, but it was great fun trying!

We were so honored to be a part of this amazing event! The way that people opened up their hearts and wallets helps restore your faith in humanity. Kevin and I will be involved in the future as much as possible to support this great organization. To Ryan Libby and the rest of the great vets that volunteer, and put so much time and effort into this worthwhile cause. On behalf of Kevin and I at Alaska Living and Real Estate. We say THANK YOU!
