We had heard about it, we had seen the packed parking lot when we drove by on our way into Wasilla, we saw the great reviews on Facebook. So we decided to go check it out ourselves. The Triple J Roadhouse. We were not disappointed!
Walking into the Triple J Roadhouse is like walking back 50 years in time to the good days. You know, simpler time when people came down to the local cafe to get a great meal and socialize with the town folk and proceeded to WAY overstay their welcome 🙂 This place is amazing. We no sooner got sat down and Jesse Briles the owner came over introduced herself and started talking to us. She told us all about the place. She and her husband have put a TON of work into this place and it shows. The money time and effort spent tells you right away that they are in this for the long haul. I believe that this dedication to re-branding, renovation, and renewal speaks volumes to their customers as the place seems to be hopping all the time.
My husband and I usually split meals wherever we go just because we can’t usually eat a full meal and we are trying to be health conscious. So we ordered the Cowboy burger and fries and had them slice it in half.
We ate that and decided that was not enough and promptly said to heck with the diet and ordered another one! We stayed over an hour just relaxing, talking to Jesse, walking around the place and just having a great time. I highly recommend this place if you are headed north out of Wasilla, or coming back from a weekend of playing in the great Alaska outdoors. Make the Triple J a must stop.
So all good things must come to an end, and so it was here to. But Jesse did a selfie with us before we left. We will be back!
